Rabindra kanan park Agartala Tripura
Ravindra Kanan park in agartala, nestled in the south of Raj Bhawan is a park featuring lush greenery and flowers. King Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishore Manikya, who was fond of constructing palaces for himself, was later inclined towards literary and academic societies in the company of his friends. For his friend Rabindranath Tagore, he ordered the construction of a palatial house, which came to be called Ravindra Kanan.
The house brought back memories of the past, when the king saw Gurudev Ravindranath Tagore lounging or strolling outside the house. He adorned the house with beautiful stretches of grass lawns, water fountains and gardens. A sit-out was created specifically for the great poet so that he can ruminate and come up with literary pearls. A peaceful nest in today's time, the park is frequented by children and young people.
